Reports to: Departmental Foreperson – $20.00-$27.00 / hr
Summary Statement
Under the supervision of the Department Foreperson, the incumbent will perform a variety of leadership and overseeing functions, guiding direct reports through project tasks. These duties may include coaching and on-the-job training of subordinates. The Crew Lead actively works the job site and is expected to support the successful completion of all jobs assigned.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Work within Occupational Health & Safety guidelines
- Executes tasks delegated by Foreperson
- Maintain cleanliness of all areas, including job site once work has been completed
- Operation of Company vehicles
- Ensure all loads in vehicles are secured and ready for transport
- Load and unload vehicle for assigned jobs
- Work with Foreman to develop plan for daily workload
- Use of various manual and power tools and equipment
- Oversees a crew of up to 2 General Labourers
- Maintaining high morale and positive energy building a strong team dynamic
- Complete all checklists and Vehicle Inspection book
- Fueling and cleaning vehicle
- Ensure proper use of team PPE
- Plan and submit routes
Minimum Qualifications and Skills
- Certificate in Carpentry, Automotive, Horticulture or equivalent work experience
- G Class license as a minimum and AR an asset
- High attention to detail and process
- Ability to communicate effectively in various environments
- Strong problem-solving skills to navigate challenging or complex situations
- Able to work both independently and in a team dynamic
- Leadership skills are an asset
Physical Effort
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50lbs, or 75lbs in a two-person lift
- Extended periods of time spent standing, squatting, kneeling
- Working outdoors in various weather
Departments: Grass/Turf care and landscape – Salary: $19.00-$25.00 per hour

Extended periods of walking, standing, squatting and crouching. This position will perform the outdoor maintenance requested by clients, as assigned by the crew lead.

Please no students. This position is on call 24/7 for duration of winter.
Multiple positions available –
– Snow plow/de-icing operator
– Loader operators
– Tractor operator – snow blowing
– Reading, writing, and comprehension of documents and instruction.
– Good oral communication skills.
– A full G driver’s license with a clear driving abstract is a necessity.
– Have minimum 2 years plow truck/loader/tractor experience.
– Work well with others, and have leadership skills.
